ROUTE TO PEACE
Being a brother to a rape victim I know what the real is But I maintain control of my anger for I know what the truth is The weapon of survival has been my writing for I know how strong that is It's a way to cope with some of life's harsh troubles It's a way to dream of betters things A way to reflect on my mistakes A way to discard my regrets and accept them as they are, It's a way to remember that I am human and I am not perfect even though I strive to be. THANKS TO MY HEROES
My brother and sisters in Kampala on 12-25-2008 from left to right-Judith, Bridgitte, Ndisa, Ushindi and Murhambo.
I worked so hard to get where I am today,
Because of the courage you gave me mom and papa…
I even learned how to become a parent
through my young brothers & sisters,
Is because I face up to my problems positively,
Because I had to find a job at an early age,
I did not make my problems people’s problems,
When I get to work,
Even though what I went through was difficult,
Somehow I am glad that I went through it,
Because today I am what I am because of hard work,
And it paid off at the end,
Some times I think I departed from my heroes,
my heroes that made my life worth living,
And now I do not know what to say than “I miss her”
